Little Whit

I've been trying to keep a list of things about Whitney the past couple months.
So I'm now finally sitting down to blog them.
Whitney is so funny lately...always making us laugh and keeping us entertained.
She is now a busy two year old. The "terrible two's" have officially begun!
She can be so sweet one second and a little monster the next.
But we love her so much and love having her in our lives.

She started holding her hands behind her back - only lasted a few weeks.

She loves sneaking into the office to play with the computer.

Things about Whit :: Summer 2011
Every time we give her a treat or something she wants she asks for two.
Two is the only number she says - and she'll say it when you ask her how old she is or what her name is. :) Also counting she'll just say "two, two"
She has been obsessed with the movie Monster's inc. We were pretty much watching it every day... The current obsession is Toy Story, which she calls "Andy."
She looooves dogs and puppies.
She gets on "book kicks" where we have to read the same books every time before bed.
I've been trying to teach her colors - she quickly became obsessed with blue. Everything was blue when we asked. Now she knows what blue is and points to it and yells "blue." She also asks for blue things (blue bottle, blue sucker/popsicle, etc).
Sometimes when we lay her down she wants to give kisses through nearly every spindle on the crib.
She loves doing summersaults and will do them anywhere.
She calls animals by the noise they make - "nigh-night meow."
Her 2 favorite stuffed animals that she takes everywhere are "nay" (horse) and "neeu" (bear)
Her blankets are still called "addy"
She went to the full 2 hours nursery for the first time last week and loved it. (we haven't been much because it's right during nap-time).
She calls Chloe "Hoey"
Sometimes when Whitney cries she will make herself throw-up. Happening more than we like. :(
We have started getting "real" babysitters and she does pretty well with them (Emily and Alex).
She has started saying "huh?" after everything we say.
She used to call Emlo "la la la" but can now say Elmo (birthday post to follow)!
Whit is such a good eater - usually her favorite things to eat are steamed veggies. She doesn't like fruit though.
When we scold her she will pull her hair, bite her nails, or put her feet in her mouth. She is so silly! She does it to spite us!
Still drinks a bottle - I know we need to take it away soon. I keep putting it off.
When she sees me put my scrubs on for work she says "bye-bye?" and sometimes she'll start crying. :(
Looooves playing with water and dumping water back and forth into cups.
In the car she yells "weeee" when we go up or down a big hill.
She points where she wants me to go when I'm driving.
Favorite dum-dum sucker is butterscotch and she calls it white.
She always wants us to have or do what she's doing.
She loves listening to music - I have a playlist of songs on my ipod - and she'll let me know exactly what song she wants to listen to.
She says thank you all the time. It used to sound like "ah-deu" but now it's just a short little "deu." Her language cracks us up!
She remembers everything.
She can say everyone's name in my family and will randomly name them all off.

We love you, little Whit.
